Failure of Finishing New Google Account Verification

Issue: New Google account verification often fails when using a Virgin Mobile SIM card. The SMS verification code may not be sent or received.


Solutions

  • Option 1: Alternate SIM Card Use a Du or Etisalat SIM card to send the verification SMS to 6253. These carriers currently support the Google verification shortcode more reliably than Virgin.

  • Option 2: Browser Registration Register the new Google account directly through a web browser (like Chrome) instead of using the Gbox app.
