2. Installation Guidance

Install the MicroG ServiceMicroG CompanionGBoxGoogleGoogle MapsSpeech Recognition & Synthesis from AppGallery

Search Google Application from AppGallery, follow the prompt to install MicroG Service and MicroG Companion.

Install Gbox and Google Maps from AppGallery   

Install Speech Recognition & Synthesis from AppGallery, it will jump to GBox->Google Play Store to finish the installation.

Install the Android Auto application from AppGallery

From AppGallery, search Android Auto, you will find Android Auto. Pls download and install it.

Restart the mobile phone to continue configuring Android Auto, and ensure that Android Auto has been granted the correct permissions.

(Remark: reboot is a must, otherwise necessary provisioning isn’t finished to use the Android Auto normally)

After reboot, Go to Settings > Apps & services > Apps > Android Auto and check whether the permission is automatically granted.

4. Enable Android Auto App configuration item—“unknown resourceto enhance the compatibility (Very Very important)

1) Settings->Apps & services->Apps->Android Auto. Click the settings icon in the upper right corner to go to the settings page.

2) Click Version at the bottom of the page about 5 times until the developer mode prompt box is displayed. Click OK.

3) Click in the upper right corner and choose Developer Settings. Make sure to enable Unknown sources. (THIS IS MANDATORY)

Granting the Google Maps MicroGGBox Locating Permissionand login Google account.

Make sure to grant the “all the time” option to location permission setting

4) Go to Settings > Apps & services > Apps, search for MicroG, grant the LocationMedia & FilesNearby Device permission in the displayed dialog box.

5login to Google account

 

Remark: for location permission, only “all the time” option can function normally.
